Jack Finn is a Partner with MEP Business Counsel. His practice focuses on entertainment and media law, including film and television development, financing, production, distribution and other ancillary exploitation. Jack regularly represents and advises independent producers, production companies, animation studios, mini-major and major studios across the full life cycle of their productions – whether his clients are working on scripted, unscripted, documentary, animated, and/or live action projects. The core areas of Jack’s practice include intellectual property issues, corporate and commercial law, labour and employment matters, financing work, and specialized tax advice regarding the Canadian and British Columbian film and television labour tax credits.

Prior to joining MEP Business Counsel, Jack worked in the film and television industry for a major U.S. studio where he gained hands-on practical experience. Jack previously completed a clerkship with the British Columbia Supreme Court and practiced law at a national law firm in Vancouver.
