Compensation and Benefits
We provide a hybrid working environment and flexible hours. In addition to a genuine collegial atmosphere offered at MEP Business Counsel, we provide market salary commensurate with experience and in line with leading business law firms in the downtown core: extended health/dental benefits, fitness reimbursement, as well as a bonus program based on contributions to the firm and more.

- 3-5 year call with experience in one, or more, of the areas of corporate/commercial, M&A, private equity, corporate finance and/or corporate lending
- Solid “hands-on” experience with sophisticated corporate transactions (M&A, capital raising, lending)

We provide a comprehensive compensation package, comprising of base salary, extended health/dental/paramedical coverage, various fitness/cellphone reimbursements, and a generous hybrid bonus policy. Our hybrid bonus policy for Associates consists of an objective component based on billable hours and a discretionary component based on overall contributions to the firm. The objective component of our bonus policy is calculated on quarterly on the basis of a very reasonable hourly target, all of which can be discussed further with successful candidates. Total compensation will be determined based on year of call, experience, being called in other jurisdictions (a welcome bonus, not a requirement), and a transferable book of business (a welcome bonus, not a requirement). The base salary range for this position is expected to be $120,000-$165,000.
