Matthew has extensive experience advising a wide variety of clients on corporate, commercial and international matters. He is regularly relied on for his breadth and depth of knowledge across a wide range of areas, as well as for his practical solutions to strategic business, dispute resolution and risk management issues.

Matthew has a vast industry background, from working with entrepreneurs and start-ups to multinational corporations and, before entering the world of law, in the technology industry with the world’s largest IT distribution company. Prior to joining MEP, Matthew served as senior counsel at an international law firm, where he oversaw the business and corporate law group for their Canadian operations.

Matthew currently acts as a consultant to MEP, leveraging his broad experience, widespread network, and industry knowledge to assist the firm internally with various client mandates.

Outside of the office, Matthew can be found exploring the Lower Mainland’s hiking trails with his rescue dogs, or earnestly seeking warmer locales with his wife.
